Principal
Crit Lapp, from Lancaster, PA worked at Esh Computer Center and served as a counselor at Bald Eagle Boys Camp. Additionally, he spent thirteen years teaching junior high and served as administrator at Weavertown school. In 2011, he was ordained as a pastor at Cornerstone Mennonite Church in Ephrata, PA. In the summer of 2017, Crit and his wife, Shannon, moved to Elnora. He successfully completed his Bachelor of Biblical Studies at Lancaster Bible College in 2018, with a minor in counseling and pastoral ministry. Crit Lapp and Shannon are blessed with seven children.

Originally from Lancaster County, PA, Keith Bucher completed his education at Terre Hill Mennonite High School. Following his graduation, he relocated to northern Indiana, where he joined the Gospel Echoes prison ministry. In 2005, Keith was ordained as a Deacon at Pleasant Grove Conservative Mennonite Church. Presently, Keith resides in Elnora with his wife and seven children and is actively involved in Elnora Bible Institute, where he teaches various classes and serves as the Business Manager for the Institute. Additionally, Keith serves as a deacon at Truth and Grace Mennonite Church and fulfills the role of a BMA regional overseer. One of Keith's greatest joys is witnessing the growth of young individuals as they develop a passion for the scriptures and establish a firm foundation in the authority of the Word.

Aaron Beery, originally from Sanora, CA, spent most of his childhood near West Lebanon, IN. He completed his high school education in 2012 and subsequently enrolled in the Elnora Bible Institute (EBI) in 2013. After graduating from EBI in 2015, he pursued the counseling program offered by the institute and successfully completed it in 2016. In 2017, Aaron married his wife, Sadie, and the couple relocated to Elnora, IN. In 2024, He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Counseling. Presently, Aaron holds the position of Dean of Students at EBI and serves as the Executive Director and a certified biblical counselor at the Anabaptist Discipleship Center. Aaron and Sadie are blessed with three children.

Clyde Byler, originally from Blountstown, Florida, now resides in central Ohio. He attended Rosedale Bible College and Cedarville University, graduating in 1992. He taught for 7 years at a local Christian school and was ordained at United Bethel Mennonite Church in 1997. In 2001, he started a small cabinet shop and began teaching at Elnora Bible Institute in 2004. Currently, Clyde is a pastor at Living Hope Mennonite Church in Urbana, Ohio. He and his wife, Wanita, have six children and several grandchildren.

Dr Paul Lamicela (PhD in biblical theology) is passionate about helping people encounter the truth, goodness, and beauty of Scripture’s grand story. He teaches biblical studies through his Biblical Storyline Academy and elsewhere. His academic emphases are NT use of the OT, approaches to biblical hermeneutics, Petrine and Pauline theology, and the relationship between OT and NT more broadly. He is also interested in the study of historical and cultural backgrounds. Dr Lamicela lives with his wife Laura in Lancaster, PA. The Lamicelas have one son. They also love to eat and cook varied cuisines and to travel abroad.

Nelson Gehman, a native of Ephrata, PA, completed his education at Terre Hill Mennonite High School in 1987. Throughout his life, he has primarily worked in the construction industry, specializing in drywall. In 1999, he obtained his pastoral license at Cornerstone Mennonite Fellowship and was ordained in 2000. Nelson married his wife, Dorita, in 1991, and together they have three children. Tragically, they also experienced the loss of their son, Jared, in 2014. Over the years, both Nelson and Dorita have actively participated in the 3-week term at EBI, finding great joy in being part of this program. Nelson's passion lies in reading, studying, and teaching God's Word.

Dan Miller

Dan Miller resides in Elnora, IN where he serves as the music director at EBI. His educational background includes studying music at Shenandoah Christian Music Camp, Vincennes University, and Indiana University. Throughout his career, he has actively participated in numerous choirs and ensembles, assuming roles as both a singer and conductor. Notable groups he has been involved with include the Oasis Chorale, Tapestry Chamber Singers, SCMC Chamber Choir, the Daviess County Community Choir, and the Tehillah Ensemble. In addition to his work at EBI, he also provides private voice lessons. He and his wife, Rosella, have two children.

Todd has spent his life in the study of God’s Word and has served as a pastor for 35 years. He has also served the church as an evangelist with Gospel Echoes Team prison ministry since 1991. Todd enjoys music and loves to sing and play the piano. He has served 21 years as lead pastor of Living Water Mennonite Church in Goshen, Indiana and is chairman of the Fellowship of Concerned Mennonites. He served 16 years on the board of the Biblical Mennonite Alliance, serves as an overseer for numerous churches, and is on the faculty of Elnora Bible Institute. Todd’s greatest passion is seeing biblically functioning churches glorifying God in all of life. His greatest joy is spending time with his wife Anita, their five children and spouses, and their grandchildren.

Allen Roth is a country boy, having lived as a church planter/pastor in Central America for seven years and in New York City for over 30 years, and as president of Destinations International for nearly 20 years. He is grateful for all the interactions with people from everywhere. He and his wife count it a great privilege to be involved in missions since 1978. His vision is to be an active witness and disciple-maker everywhere he goes, nurturing a vision for church planting and missionary sending with a special priority on targeting unreached people groups nearby and far away. Allen enjoys trying foods from other ethnic backgrounds. He loves to read and interact with his grandchildren. He also enjoys studying and teaching the Bible in various settings, from pre-believers to established churches and Bible Institutes.

Carolyn Roth is a mother to three and grandmother to nine. She grew up in a church planter's home in WV where she surrendered her life to Christ as a young teen. She taught for three years in Northern Ontario. After their studies at Rosedale Bible Institute, she and her husband Allen served in Nicaragua, then moved to New York City in another church planting adventure. Teaching experiences include classroom, homeschooling, and discipling and mentoring women in diverse settings.

A native of Reading, Pennsylvania, J. Mark Horst graduated from high school in 1977. He later pursued his studies at Sharon Mennonite Bible Institute, where he was significantly influenced by two key courses: Homiletics, instructed by Dr. J. Otis Yoder, and Methods of Study, taught by Harry M. Brenneman. In 1981, he married Joyce, and together they have eight children. Before 1994, he was part of the woodworking industry. Since that time, he has been associated with Heralds of Hope, an international media ministry, serving as a Bible teacher for over two decades. His enthusiasm for the Scriptures and his desire to share its life-altering messages with others are evident in his work.

Daniel and Heidi Yoder

Daniel and Heidi Yoder live in Elnora with their son, Lewis. Heidi was an EBI student in 2007; Daniel attended in 2008. Since 2015, Daniel has taught a range of courses at EBI. Apologetics and theology are areas of particular interest to him. He has been blessed with opportunities to study at Bryan College, Sangre de Cristo Seminary, and Veritas International University. Heidi enjoys teaching a women's course every fall term. They are grateful for the opportunities they have to serve at EBI.
